Privacy policyhow we handle data
Last updated: 7 May 2026. This policy describes how Voltis Labs collects and uses personal data when you use voltislabs.uk and related Voltis Labs marketing sites (this “site”). It is not legal advice.
Who we are
The data controller is Voltis Labs (a software and product studio, remote-first). For privacy requests, use the contact form and choose a clear subject line such as “Privacy request”.
What data we collect
- Contact form: If you submit our form, we receive the fields you fill in (typically name, email, optional company or phone, and your message). This is processed by our form provider (currently FormSubmit) to send email to us.
- Technical data: Like most websites, hosting and tooling may automatically process server logs or security data (such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps). Our analytics tooling may collect usage events as described below.
- Stored preferences: Some theme or UI preferences may be stored locally in your browser (for example via
localStorage), not on our servers. See our Cookie policy for detail.
Why we use your data
- To respond to enquiries and evaluate potential projects (legitimate interests in operating our business and communicating with prospective enterprise partners).
- To run and secure the site, understand aggregate usage, and improve content (legitimate interests).
- Where required, to comply with legal obligations (for example accounting or lawful requests).
Processors and sharing
We use service providers as needed to operate the site (for example hosting, form delivery, analytics, consent tools). They process data only on our instructions or as otherwise required by law. We do not sell your personal data.
International transfers
Some providers may be located outside the UK or EEA. Where we rely on providers in other countries, we use appropriate safeguards (such as the UK/additional ICO-approved mechanisms or standard contractual clauses) where required.
Retention
We keep contact enquiries only as long as needed to respond, manage the relationship, or meet legal, tax, or dispute requirements. Aggregated analytics is kept according to provider settings.
Your rights (UK GDPR / EU GDPR)
Depending on your location, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, data portability, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority (for example the UK ICO). Contact us via the form; we may need to verify your request.
Children
This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Updates
We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
